Drummond will host three open houses for prospective families
seeking admission for the 2012-2013 school year.

To attend an open house, please enter the building through
the front door and proceed to our third floor gymnasium for a brief orientation, which will be followed by a tour of the building.

To apply to Drummond Montessori Magnet School you must submit a Standard Elementary Schools application. You may apply online, or by using a paper application. Instructions for both options are as follows:

Go to apply.cps.edu.

Request a Personal Identification Number (PIN). This is used instead of your signature. The PIN will be mailed to your home address in approxikately five days.

Use the PIN to sign on to the online site. You only need to use the PIN once, you can use it to apply or more than one chaild in a family, and you can use it to apply to all different types of schools and programs.

Select up to 20 schools of your choice.

When complete, submit your application by December 16, 2011.

Print the confirmation page for your records. You will receive an email confirmation when your application is received by our office.

Use the paper Standard Elementary Schools Application in the front of this section (or obtain the application at the Office of Academic Enhancement website, www.cpsoae.org, or by mail from the Office of Academic Enhancement).

Select up to 20 schools by entering a school code for each school to which you are applying. Drummond's code is: 3120DJ

Sign your completed application and mail or hand carry it to the Office of Academic Enhancement. Mailed applications must bve postmarked by December 16, 2011. If you mail your application, we recommend that you include a self-addressed, stamped postcard/envelope.

When we receive your application, we will mail the postcard/envelope back to you as a receipt. If you include an email address on your applicaiton, we will email you once your application has been processed.

         

Please note that Drummond's Entry Grade Level is Pre-K-3.

Drummong accepts approximately thirty-six 3-year-olds into the Early Childhood Program each year. All applicants must be 3 years of age on or before September 1, 2012 and must be fully toilet trained.

Students wishing to apply for admission to Pre-K-4 through 8th Grade must also complete the application through the Office of Academic Enhancement (see information above). Students in Pre-K-4 through 8th Grade are selected by lottery as space permits. All siblings wishing to attend Drummond during the 2012-2013 school year must also complete an application.

You are strongly encouraged to apply to schools online at apply.cps.edu.
• Applications are processed faster.
• Chances for parent error are diminished.
• You can print a confirmation form after you submit your application.
• The Office of Academic Enhancement will send you an email confirmation after the application is successfully received.

Notification letters will be mailed by the Office of Academic Enhancement the week of March 23, 2012. Results cannot be given to parents via telephone. If you do not receive a notification letter within two weeks of the designated date, contact the Office of Academic Enhancement at (773) 553-2060 or oae@cps.k12.il.us.
